What to expect after completing the registration form.
American Academy Phlebotomy Technicians (AAPT) offers a Phlebotomy Instructor course for allied healthcare providers {Certified Phlebotomist, LPN, RN, MT, MLT, EMT}. This course presents the core skills required to transition into teaching.
The training will include a review of the adult learning theory, cognitive theory, learning styles, training delivery methods, lesson planning, assessments & evaluations and instructor’s code of conduct.
You will receive hands-on training in a class room setting that will enable you to practice facilitating training under the direct observation of a certified instructor. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to take the national Certified Phlebotomy Instructor’s exam.
Training Objectives:
- Understand the concept of the adult learning theory.
- Learn best practices used for teaching online or face to face.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the standards in phlebotomy.
- Understand how to develop a syllabus and detailed course outline.
- Learn the requirements for starting and maintaining a successful phlebotomy training course.
CPI Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently an Allied health professional (Certified Phlebotomist, LPN, RN, MT, MLT, EMT}
