Certified Phlebotomy Technician
A phlebotomy technician is responsible for collecting blood specimens for the laboratory to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating illness. Phlebotomists work in various locations such as clinical laboratories, hospitals, doctor’s offices, blood donation centers, and other facilities.
Student Route
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an AAPT approved Phlebotomy program within the last 2 years
- Documentation confirming the completion of a minimum of 50 venipunctures and 10 skin punctures
Experience Route
- A copy of your high school diploma or equivalent
- One year of verifiable experience as a phlebotomist full-time within the last 4 years
