Certified Patient Care Technician
Patient Care Technicians play a vital role supporting nurses, physicians and other medical staff. They provide quality care that includes collecting blood samples for analysis, monitoring vital signs, inserting IV catheters, performing EKGs. They are employed in a wide range of healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care facilities and other medical facilities.
Student Route
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an AAPT approved Patient Care Technician program within the last 2 years
Experience Route
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of verifiable experience as a Patient Care Technician full time
